Repeat Prescriptionsblue_yellow_pills

If you are on long term medication, your doctor may arrange for you to obtain a repeat prescription without being seen on each occasion.

Prescriptions may be requested online, by post or at the reception desk.

Prescriptions may be collected from the surgery or from a Haddington chemist of your choice.

We would be very grateful if you would order all of your repeat prescriptions at one time as this would greatly reduce our administrative workload.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.  The doctor may also issue a prescription but ask reception to contact you to request that you make an appointment for review prior to requesting any further supplies of the medication.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment at that time to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.

Prescription requests will take a minimum of 3 working days to be processed and we would be grateful if you can wait this length of time before collecting your items from the pharmacy. This is due to delays caused by social distancing guidelines and reduced footfall in the pharmacies.
