If you are on long term medication, your doctor may arrange for you to obtain a repeat prescription without being seen on each occasion.
Prescriptions may be requested by telephoning the practice between 11:00 and 15:00. You can also order online by following the link at the top of this page.
Please note that the prescription line will close on 30/9/18. After that date prescriptions can be ordered online, by post or at the reception desk.
Prescriptions may be collected from the surgery or from a Haddington chemist of your choice.
We would be very grateful if you would order all of your repeat prescriptions at one time as this would greatly reduce our administrative workload.
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. The doctor may also issue a prescription but ask reception to contact you to request that you make an appointment for review prior to requesting any further supplies of the medication.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment at that time to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow 48 HOURS for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
UPGRADE TO THE
31st October—2nd November 18
NHS Lothian will be upgrading the practice IT system from 31st October—2nd November 18 inclusive.
Over this period we will not have access to medical records and therefore will not be able to offer a normal service. Emergency appointments will be available if required over this period.
We will also be unable to process repeat prescriptions and would be grateful if you could ensure that you order enough medication to last until the following week.
It is anticipated that normal service should resume on 5th November 18.
Thank you very much for your patience and understanding over this time.
