Appointments can be made by telephoning the practice on (01620) 823183. You may consult any doctor you choose but we would recommend that when possible, you try to see the same doctor, as this enables us to get to know one another.
We always try to offer you an appointment on the day that you request, but it may be necessary to wait if you would like to be seen at a certain time or by a specific doctor.
If you have a problem that will not wait for a routine appointment or the doctor of your choice, please tell the receptionist that your problem is urgent. You will then be seen as an emergency by the duty doctor.
If you would like to speak with a doctor, the best time to ring is before 10:00 or in the afternoon before 15:00.
If the doctor is unavailable the receptionist will ask for your name, address, date of birth, contact telephone number and reason for the call. This enables the doctor to prioritise his / her telephone calls. The receptionist has been asked by the doctors to request this information so please do try to help them by giving as much detail as possible.
If your call is urgent and cannot wait until the doctor is available, please ensure that you advise the receptionist of this and they can direct your call to the duty doctor.
Interpretation & Translation Service
The practice complies with NHS Lothian’s policy to provide interpreters and translations when requested by the service user. Please ask reception staff for further information.
